Preparation Tips For Chilly Days Ahead

It's that time of year again -- the leaves are turning yellow, red and golden brown and the morning dew again is present. Before long, sub-zero weather will be a fact of life for those in the north country. Don't wait until winter arrives before making sure you are prepared for cold winter winds rain and snow. Get ready by caulking around windows, doors and exterior trim, and most of all, clean or replace your furnace filter. Also, call your public utility and ask if they offer a free energy audit. This will ensure that your whole house is in tip-top readiness for chilly days ahead. And that's the On The House tip for today.
