House Plants Bring the Beauty of the Outdoors, Indoors

House plants bring the beauty of the outdoors indoors. But with any plant, there can be a mess. During watering, loose dirt in the bottom of the pot will escape into the pot's drip tray. When it dries out it can become airborne and messy. Got an extra coffee filter or cheesecloth? How about an old nylon stocking? Any of these materials can be used as a filter to allow water out while holding the dirt in the pot. Enjoy your plants and a cleaner house. And that's the On The House tip for today.
