Protect Your Pet's Outdoor Food Dish From Ants

Pesky ants have been known to wreak havoc on more than one backyard barbecue. Even Fido's dog dish isn't immune to these voracious, uninvited guests! Here is a safe and effective method of protecting your pet's food dish from an army of ants. BUILD A MOAT! It is not nearly as complicated as it sounds. All you need is a pie tin, some liquid dish soap and water. Simply mix a small amount of the soap with enough water to almost fill the pie tin. Place the pet's food dish in the soapy solution in the middle of the tin. The moat will prevent the ants from getting to the dish, but Fido will be undeterred. And that's the On The House tip for today.
