Remove Moisture From Double-pane Windows

Double-pane windows can make your home more comfortable and lower your utility bill. They can also frustrate you when moisture builds up between the panes of glass. Not only are your insulated windows not giving you your money's worth, they are difficult to see through, as well. We've got good news and bad. The bad: the damaged window can't be repaired. The good news: the window can be replaced without removing the entire window frame. What you need is a "hack-out" _ an industry term for the removal and replacement of the glass without the removal of the wood window trim, or damage to the plaster. Some manufacturers will warranty their windows against failure and make the repair at no charge. Otherwise, a local window or glass company should be able to help. And that's the On The House tip for today.
