Fixing Faucet-Hum

Does every faucet in your home make a screeching noise when turned on? Coincidence? No, it's probably a worn-out rubber gasket in a plumbing valve (the place from which water enters your home), resulting in a reedy, screechy sound when water passes over it, which is then transferred to whatever fixture is being used. Don't worry -- you probably can replace it for about 6 bucks. And that's the On The House tip for today.
