Much to our surprise we have found that one of our test repairs, which was supposed to last a few months, has held up for more than three years. We can't wait to share it with you. Fixing a loose showerhead in a tiled shower is a repair that could easily cost $300 to $400, or even more. The owner wanted a repair that would hold for awhile until she could afford the cost. We were remodeling her kitchen at the time, and that day were performing infiltration control using expanding foam sealant. We noticed that it dried rock hard. An idea formed: Spray the foam into the wall and lock the goose-neck in place. We did. And now -- more than three years later -- the repair is as solid as the day we did it. What a savings! And that's the On The House tip for today.
