Non-Toxic Ways to Fight Ants

Having trouble with ants? They seem to make their way into your home just in time to sample a freshly baked treat. Here are some non-toxic alternatives that should help rid your humble abode of those uninvited guests. Try using a soapy water spray or a soapy sponge to kill invading ants until you can undertake a more permanent solution. Always store food and organic wastes in tight containers. Use barriers made from sticky materials, or water and detergent moats. Caulk cracks where ants might nest or enter the house. And whenever possible, select least-toxic poisons such as insecticidal soap and boric acid for baits and sprays before turning to more toxic compounds. And that's the On The House tip for today.
