Fireplace Maintenance

With Santa soon to make his way down chimneys all across America it's a great time to inspect the fireplace and chimney to make sure that they are clean and safe. Creosote, a highly flammable residue which results from wood burning, can build up on the inside of chimney walls to present a major fire risk. A thorough sweeping of the flue will greatly reduce the chance of a chimney fire. If you burn wood frequently, you should have a professional inspect the fireplace and chimney at least once annually. And that's the On The House tip for today.
