Tips for Making Over Your Bathroom.

Form Versus Function

First ask, is the space working? No one wants to create a beautiful space that doesn’t function—so make sure that it functions first.  Determine what it is that makes you unhappy with the current space.  From there, be sure to address these functional concerns before thinking of making it pretty.

Determine Your Design Style

Get ideas! Look at pictures in magazines and note what it is that you like about them and are appealing. Similarly, note what you don’t like and what it is that makes them unappealing. It’s a good starting point to get ideas and pull them together to see what would work for you. Be sure not to duplicate exactly what is in a magazine, since that would not necessarily be a reflection of your personality.

One of the easiest ways to create a professionally designed look in your bathroom is to coordinate the metal finishes. Start by updating the faucet with a new, sleek style in a hot new finish, such as antique nickel, oil rubbed bronze, brushed nickel or stainless steel. Coordinating the finish throughout a room is a great way to pull it together. Be sure not to stop with the faucet—change your drawer pulls, knobs, towel bars, faucets, showerheads, accessories and even your framed artwork. Not everything needs to be exactly the same finish, but be sure the tonal colors are relatively the same hue.

Choose accessories that are beautiful and functional to pull together your design. Adding complementary or contrasting color towels, bathmats and shower curtains can brighten up your bathroom and create a finished and cohesive look. In addition, accessories such as toothbrush and cup holders, towel bars and soap dishes available in coordinating finishes to match your faucets can add not only style, but additional storage solutions to avoid clutter.

Choose Quality

When choosing faucets or any bathroom products, be sure to choose a quality brand.  Moen products have been manufactured under the highest standards of quality and workmanship.  In fact, Moen offers an impressive lifetime warranty, guaranteeing their faucet will be leak and drip-free or Moen will FREE OF CHARGE repair or replace any parts necessary.

Don't Forget The Shower

The keys to creating a spa-like shower experience at home are temperature and water pressure.  With Moen’s Posi-Temp® shower valve, you’ll never experience an irritating surge in hot or cold water temperature or the shower shock associated with it. Even a dishwasher running or a toilet flushing won’t disrupt the comfort of your shower.  Secondly, choosing a massaging showerhead, such as the Moen Revolution Showerhead will turn an ordinary shower into a phenomenal experience for the senses.
