To elongate the life of your freezer and improve energy efficiency, it is best to regularly defrost it at least every three months. In addition to making it more difficult to get food in & out of the freezer, a build up of frost in the freezer restricts the air flow of the cold air and makes the freezer systems work quite a bit harder. So save your electric bill and make your freezer last longer by keeping it defrosted on a regular basis; and while your at it, toss out that leftover stuffing from two Thanksgivings ago, it gave up its taste long ago!
