GOT AIR LEAKS, FIX THEM IN A SQUEAK

GOT AIR LEAKS, FIX THEM IN A SQUEAK

Leaks abound in homes - through recessed lighting, up chimneys, out dryer vents, and through windows and doors seals. Basically, everywhere there is a joint where drywall meets some other material, there is a good chance for a leak. Get some caulk and start filling those gaps, close the chimney flues when not in use, and get new weather-stripping around your doors (tops and bottoms.) Taking time to find all those leaks can result in huge energy savings, often 20 percent or more. And items like weather-stripping and caulk cost almost nothing so take an hour today, look around, and seal them up. You'll be more comfortable and you'll save money too.
