HEATING DUCTS ALL IN A ROW

HEATING DUCTS ALL IN A ROW

Did you know that heating ducts in your home probably leak, and leak a lot of heat and energy that never makes it back to the inside of your home? Did you also know that sealing all those little leaks can result in huge savings – 20 percent or more on your heating bill? But wait – DO NOT use duct tape. That’s right, turns out that duct tape is good for almost everything except for sealing ducts. Instead, buy metal foil tape like those from 3M or others. It is inexpensive and will seal your ducts properly for many years. So remember, sealing duct work in all homes will save energy starting right now but only if you use metal tape and not duct tape.
