INSULATION NATION

INSULATION NATION

Insulation – you have heard of this for at least 30 years. Is your home insulated? Is it well insulated? R-value is the resistance to heat flow and the higher the better when it comes to insulation. Homes can be built today with R-values approaching 50 in the ceiling and 17 or higher in the walls. Newer insulation, such as spray foam insulation, can provide a much tighter seal inside the wall cavities producing substantial energy savings over fiberglass batts. But no matter what kind of insulation you choose – blown-in, foam, batts, or other – be sure your home is as insulated as possible this winter. You will save plenty of money and help the planet as well.
