How to Use High Fashion Lights For a Low Budget Price in Your Bathroom
Lighting is the number one thing to do to change the look and feel of your bathroom.
Swapping out old light fixtures for decorative sconces and a dramatic chandelier, you can update the bathrooms personality cheaply and quickly. Here are some tips on how to do this.
CHANDELIER CHIC: Place a chandelier in your bathroom, one that is smaller, more delicate and softly illuminated than elsewhere in the house, leaving your bathroom sensual and elegant. This will create a layered lighting effect in the bath.
THE TASK AT HAND: You could start installing a pair of elegant wall sconces on either side of the bathroom mirror. These eliminate unwanted shadows from overhead lighting and can dress up the bath tub.
ACCENT ON DRAMA: Properly placed lighting can produce a lot of excitement in the bathroom, so placing it under vanities, above cabinets, even mounted between a translucent countertop, accent lighting can introduce warmth and drama to a room. Low voltage Xenon bulbs provide a clean crisp white light & give off less heat than regular bulbs.
DIMMERS & BULBS: An easy way to create a spa like atmosphere is to connect a dimmer switch to the bathroom light fixtures. In the same vein, replacing harsh white lights or unflattering fluorescents with warm tone bulbs: soft pink brings a warm natural feel to the bathroom.
