2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 pounds pork chops, (center cut loin chops - about 4-6)
1 tablespoon Dom DeLuise's Italian Blend seasoning *
4 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup cream
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. Saute garlic until golden. Sprinkle pork chops with my Italian Blend. Reduce heat to medium and add the seasoned pork chops, cook for about 6 minutes per side.
While the chops are cooking, mix 1 tablespoon olive oil, basil and pepper in a small bowl. Add this mixture to the pork chops while they are browning. Be sure to turn the chops a few times so they will get coated with the basil mixture. Remove chops to a serving platter and keep warm.
Whisk the cream into the pan drippings and simmer a few minutes until sauce thickens. Pour sauce over cooked chops and serve.
Serves 4 - 6
