Perfect for Hot Summer Nights Served With Grilled Chicken or Fish!
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 basil leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon chopped dill
4 stalks celery, chopped
2 large tart green apples, chopped
1 cup toasted walnuts
1 head butter lettuce, leaves torn
raisins (optional)
In a food processor, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice and sugar. Add the chopped parsley, basil and dill. Chill until ready to use.
Chop celery into thin slices. Core apples and cut into matchsticks. In a medium bowl, toss celery, apples and walnuts with dressing and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
Place torn lettuce leaves on 4 salad plates. Spoon celery mixture on top of each. Sprinkle with raisins and serve.
