Drink Tea and See

Aside from water, green or black tea is the most widely consumed beverage in the world.

Researchers are finding ever more benefits from the magical leaves.
Green tea's antioxidants, called catechins, are able to penetrate eye tissue, which may help protect against glaucoma and other eye diseases, according to Hong Kong researchers.
In an article published at the University of Hong Kong, researchers found that oxidative stress causes DNA damage and activation of enzymes which lead to tissue damage observed in the development of eye diseases such as cataract and glaucoma. The antioxidant properties contained in green tea make this widely consumed beverage a good candidate for eye protection.
"Green tea antioxidants reduced stress in some eye tissues for up to 20 hours,” according to the study.
So drink up! A couple of cups of green tea per day will make you see the world in a whole new way.
