Campsite Cookouts

OK Campers…Here are a few handy tips to make your next campsite cooking experience an open-air taste sensation.

Plan and shop for your meals before leaving home. Be sure to pick up plenty of bottled water and juice boxes. And, to make the cooking easy consider these useful tips:

Measure dry goods for each meal, pack in resealable bags, and label.

Chop vegetables (onions, peppers, carrots) and pack in resealable bags.

Prepare and portion snacks like trail mix and pack in resealable bags.

Pre-cook your noodles and rice, etc. for quick reheating at the campsite.

And, did you know that Block ice lasts longer in your cooler than cubes.
