Sorry Sarah. I'm afraid that we're not going to be of much help to you on this one. We aren't familiar with this particular product, and we have yet to see it advertised in any of the trade journals. Come to think of it, we don't even recall having seen it represented at any of the trade shows we've attended.
We've never seen an effective substitute for the conventional gutter-and-downspout configuration. While gutters typically have a favorable impact on the "curb appeal" of a home, their real value lies in their ability to effectively capture the rain water run off from the surface of the roof and transport it (via the downspout) away from the perimeter of the home.
At the risk of being accused of not being innovative, we suggest that you take a hard look at this new product and compare it to a conventional system before proceeding any further. Don't forget to check into the warranty. Will it cover labor and material, and for how long? Better yet, if you need to repair or replace it sometime down the road, who will you be able to call? If this is a product that is new (and chances are it is) you may not enjoy the same security that "time-tested" products generally offer.
