Q & A

Fiberglass Formula

Question?

In one of your columns you gave a recipe for cleaning fiberglass and porcelain tubs. I have misplaced the information and would like it once again.

Evelyn

Answer!

Make a paste out of two tablespoons of salt and a half cup of turpentine. Apply the paste with a sponge or a nylon brush, but don't allow it to go down the drain. The mixture can be pretty strong-smelling so make sure that there is plenty of ventilation. You should also wear rubber gloves and eye protection.

Using paper towels wipe up the product and allow them to air dry before disposing of them in the garbage.
