When you're doing outside chores like cleaning gutters, caulking, painting or making inspections, moving a ladder around the house, especially an aluminu ladder, leaves unsightly marks. A simple solution is put an old sock over the top of each side rail on your ladder. This will prevent scrapes, scuffs and dents, and will create a softer landing where you lean it.
