Tip of the Day On The House with the Carey Bros.

Especially for Seniors

Do you have an elderly person living with you or visiting you? When older folks go to bed, a rolled-up bath towel slipped inside a pillowcase makes a handy neck support that provides a good night’s sleep. (It will serve you well, too.) Write down your address and phone number in big letters and keep it in the wallet or purse of senior visitors during their stay, so they’ll always be able to find their way to your home or phone you. Buy an inexpensive door chime and have it centrally located, then install the button in their bedroom so they can summon help in a hurry -- day or night. In the bath, place nonslip rubber decals on the topsides of the tub (where one grips) to prevent wet hands from slipping when one rises. A little loving thoughtfulness goes a long way. And that's the On The House tip for today.
