Basically, it replaces the need for retro-fitting conventional ductwork in walls and under floors by using a ?perimeter? ring of narrow ductwork up in the attic or crawl space, and a series of small two-inch tube-type ducts coming off of that. It allows you to pipe heated-air (also from a mini-unit installed up above) into rooms below as needed; the system puts as many outlets in rooms as you wish and delivers both heat and cooling.
