Cleaning Grease Off Suede

How to get grease off suede the inexpensive and easy way!

American Bandstand began on TV on this day in 1957, with Dick Clark and Philadelphia's hippest teens dancin? to the oldies. They were all decked out with greasy hair-dos, blue suede shoes, and cool suede jackets. But when they got together, the grease from their hair totally ruined any suede beyond repair! Today, nearly fifty years later, the same holds true. Whether it's furniture, throw pillows, or clothes, a spot of grease on suede spells disaster. It can be nearly impossible to get out unless you know this little suede cleaning trick. To clean a grease spot, dip a toothbrush in vinegar and gently brush back and forth across the suede, dabbing occasionally with a soft cloth to absorb any excess liquid. After a few attempts, you should start to see improvement. Once it appears the spot is removed, give it a final light dab, rub with the cloth, and let it air dry the inexpensive and easy way. (Too bad Dick and the gang didn't know about this!)
