Calling all "Weekend Warriors"

Hey! Are you ready to clean it, paint it, fix it, grow it or just make it better? Well, it's that wonderful time of year to do just that. Has your wife made that honey-do? list? Or do you have a project you need to start? Where do you start? This is my starting place……Go ahead, walk out to that garage and start by giving it a good cleaning. Toss all those things that you haven't used in five years plus, or find them a good home with a neighbor or friend. Get organized! (Who me? I can't even keep my underwear drawer neat and you expect me to organize a garage)….. It's easy just put all the cleaning stuff together, the painting stuff together, the same for the gardening tools and supplies. (Whose garage is it anyway? If I want it messy, I'll keep it that way.) Now that we've had that discussion with ourselves…… JUST GO DO IT! Once you are done enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. Now go grab a cold drink, and a sandwich, sit down and watch the ball game! While you are doing that, plan your next project!

THX - Certified QuietRock Can Help You Build a Professional,
Soundproofed Home Theater

THX is the most well-known company name when it comes to sound. Everyone recognizes that silver logo that fades onto the screen accompanying that long deep note. When it comes to building a home theater, there is no one better. They have gone through all the audio and video products out there and certified a select few to bring you those of the best quality. One thing many people don’t know about them, however, is that as of a couple years ago they started certifying something else – walls.

It was one down; James was off recovering from a cold. Our "Roving Reporter" Steve Kleber gave us the goods on the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show and some interesting products he found on display. Our caller's questions covered painting, plumbing, gardening getting rid of rodent smells and the burning question of the day was from Alex! She forgot to put water in a Mac and Cheese package and ended up with a smoking, smelly microwave and no snack. Her question was "How do I get rid of the bad smell?" Not to be outdone, Morris added he too had burned up a sweet potato in his microwave this week and had the same problem! Clean the filters and the smell should go away. Good luck to Alex and thank you for calling. Happy microwaving!

May 14, 2011 We are on the road again! Morris and James in Reno, Rebecca in New York and Danny in the studio! How do they do that? This will be a show packed full of great garden and DIY information. Outdoor Living Spaces on the Rise in 2011

For the past 10 years DANVER has been an industry trendsetter in the world of outdoor living and entertainment spaces. This dynamic company has embraced the change in the trend that consumers no longer call their outdoor area a “grilling station” but instead have updated it to the “outdoor kitchen.”  The kitchen is still the focal point of the design, but the layout and material are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and complex. Today, outdoor living spaces are given as much detail and design as indoor kitchens and living rooms.
