Happy New Year!

The New Year is a time of renewal. Maybe youíre ditching the ice cream and promising to call your mother more often. But when youíre making your resolutions this year, donít forget your home. In our first offering for this year, we suggest five New Years resolutions for your home. They consist of five general tasksin order of importanceóthat we believe apply to most homes and that you should consider before starting your dream bath or gourmet kitchen.

If youíre like most people, chances are you did some entertaining during the holiday season. Though the Christmas decorations are down and the candy, cookies and treats devoured, there are probably telltale signs that have left your home looking a little worse for the wear.

Getting your home back into shape could be a daunting task were it not for simple solutions we have collected over the years.

Water - the substance that is so precious to life, the stuff that keeps our grass green, our dishes clean and our toilets flushing - is one of the biggest threats to the home ó especially if you have a basement. This month youíll learn how to dry out your wet basement and how to keep it dry!

If youíre like most Americans, chances are good that you put on a few extra pounds during the holidays. Fear not, fitness and nutrition guru Karel Nunnink has some great info that will help you shed those extra pounds and be fit as a fiddle in 2008.

And for those that didnít overindulge, Dom DeLuise has some marvelous dishes to whet your appetite. Yummy!

Happy New Year!

KAREL’S KORNER: The TAO of Sports

by Karel Nunnink
Over 70% of how we decline is controlled by us.  At least 50% of that, is meal planning.  What you put in your body matters…ALOT!!
Everyday we replicate and repair 300 billion cells.  Studies show that we can replicate new cells that are better than the ones they replace.
