It's August—the dog days of summer are drawing to a close. It's getting to be that time of year, time to look forward to the coming fall and make the most of the last few gasps of summer. Along with all the fun stuff to do as the weather starts to cool down, there are also a few important things to do around your house... like clean the gutters! It's true, gutter cleaning isn't on the top of anyone's list of favorite summer activities, but your home is worth it. Apple trees are a favorite fruit tree of landscapers and can be found the world over. Interestingly, there are over a hundred recognized varieties of apple trees some of which have been around for thousands of years and some which are only a decade old. Certain types of apple trees that home gardeners have chosen to cultivate in their yards bear fruit as early as late July, while others reach their peak as late as mid-November.
